If you post a pic of your tester we may be able to suggest exactly what to do. Mine has a flexible rubber hose about 30cm (1 ft in American) long with the spark plug threads on a fitting on the end.
Guys .. the Last Indian was known here in NZ as The Worlds fastest Indian. Bert Munroe. A Kiwi who lived down south. As you see - he made everything himself. He is a legend in this country and considered the shining example of what Kiwis (NZers) can and should do in their sheds. I can only claim to have the same lathe as he used - but I have yet to make a piston with it. But I did make a fuel head piston for my 930 on it.
They have annual beach races on the same southern beach as a revival of his legacy.
The modern Bert Munroe is John Britten who created a revolutionary motorcycle from scratch in his shed (cast his own engine/cylinders etc)- I have seen this bike go - the sound sends shivers down your spine. It too, like Chris Toys 356 is a work of art.
