yes, it was on my Mark VIII, too... Initially, thought I broke the A/C when I accelerated hard...

my issue with that is, I'd like to disengage the a/c clutch at say 1/2 throttle or 3/4 throttle, too. So, I think it best to go with the adjustable boost switch - - gives me some flexibility...
