Hi Alan, Today I have taken the liberty to spend time with the family. So not much progress...

I truly appreciate your input. Regarding previous posts. I understand what you are telling me, if I don't, I'll simply ask.

Regarding TDC, I understand the concept. HAving worked on bikes (hobby as well) it is the same basics. I know I don't have to use the tester to find TDC. I just find it very easy to put in my adapter in the Spark plug hole, then I can hear the air hissing out, and confirm with the pulley TDC markings.

About the SC cams this make me a little happy about the 1.5mm if that is the case. I am thinking about buying a dial gauge. It is a nice tool anyways.

Yes, I meant clockwise. Just my lame attempt of being funny. Didn't work

I think my pulley has got an extra couple og marks than stock, but basically as you say.

I tested the valves (by feel) by rotating the crank, and checking in firing order. I could feel just a little slack. Seemed to be equal across all six. If i can I'll check them all using the backside method, since I only got one 0.004 gauge.

Thanks the kids are calling.
