I am half way in my first go on a valve adjustment. So far I did all the intake valves. It is part of my trouble shooting the engine.

I use the normal method.

For a rookie like me, I found it usefull to put a thin line in the handle of the valve adjustment tool as an indication of how far down it had to go to be able to slide it in. This is especially usefull on the hard to reach valves.
