Using a 12 volt test light with sharp probe to stab wire insulation I found a red wire under the dash below the ignition switch thats hot all the time and spliced into that for clock power and spliced into one of the gauge illumination wires for the clock illumination.

For the 12 volt gauge I did the same for illumination and found another red wire under the ignition switch that is 12 volts switched for the gauge display.

It would probably be better to go forward through a factory hole already full of wires and my water injection line in the sheet metal up above he driver side footwell blower to get to the fuse box but I didn't.
