I found the thread.
My assumptions were incorrect. Either that is not a 1984 Euro engine or it is a 1984 Euro engine with 1986-9 CIS and exhaust installed for federalization purpose. The USA catalytic converter has been replaced with a bypass pipe.
What is the type number of the engine (stamped into the case on the passenger's side by the fan, 930/xx)?
