I handle all of these items and have tested most of them against each other on the same engine. Each has their own niche and bang/buck.
Turbos - the 3LDZm (as I call it) when compared to the OEM 3LDZ does spool quicker but not quite as quick as the K27-7200. The value that I see in this turbo is 2-fold; cost and it is a true bolt-on.
Headers - the standard short tube headers will add about 30WHP to a 300WHP 930. Boost threshold of a 7200 is reduced about 500rpm, a bit more for a 3LDZ as it is so laggy to begin with.
Intercoolers - do not reduce threshold that I have seen unless the IC is compared to threshold degradation due to hot ambient temperatures. IC's allow more power by cooling the charge air so the bigger the better to a point; where a drop in pressure begins.
My opinions may be considered bias so others please weigh in with your experiences.
