Garage
I have recently embraced my mid-life crisis by buying an '81 911sc targa to play with...

About 3 weeks after the contact high of leather seats mixed with hot engine oil smell in my garage is starting to loose it's effects on me. More and more everyday I am starting to see all the little things that soon will be driving my crazy about the car.

This weekend my major goal was to figure out the source of a solitary oil spot on my garage floor and a increase in the smell of smoke (burnt oil) in the garage when I pull in.*

Since day one I noticed a shine on my distributer cap, but I thought that the previous owner shined them up for me for fun. As it turns out it's oil dripping from my ignition coil, slowly working it's way down to the ground.*

Goodie for me no expensive engine gasket to change to cure an oil leak. A few bolts and a new coil should do the trick. Right?*

Here is the question... When I bought the car, the Porsche specialist that checked it out for me mentioned that my car had a Bosch CD and the Coil that was under my hood was not the correct one and should be changed before something gets fried.

The Bosch CD that is in my car has the following part numbers...0 227 300 004 12v. That is matching coil for my car?

Any info most appreciated.
