I have a 1988 with the stock 1988 headers and a RarlyL8 exhaust and K27S turbo. Comparing the current setup to the previous stock 3DLZ turbo and cat/muffler is night and day. Not sure what made the most difference (K27 or removing the cat), but it is night and day.

Since then have replaced CIS with EFI and I think I have almost the perfect mild street tuned 930. Runs great off idle, ramps up smooth, pulls to redline with no fuel or ignition issues.

I'd recommend the turbo and free flowing exhaust before spending on the headers.
