Header Primary to Exhaust Port Fitment
Thought I would share some of the observations that we see when working to improve exhaust system function/performance. Most folks are aware that the heads are machined to allow the headers to slide up inside them. This gives a really nice transition and reduces the chance for gasket burnout and mis-alignment at the port. Having the header tube just meet the head when torqued to spec is the goal. Reproducing this measurement on every primary is not easy and why I am looking at it.
Anyway you don't get to see this alignment very often so here is a picture.
