I posted the pic just because you don't get to see that junction very often.
The reason I am looking at this is to set tighter specs. It was brought to my attention that variance occured on the gasket protectors and there is opportunity for improvement.
Yes the spacers are spot-welded onto the flanges. If using short studs you can pop them off with a screw driver. You should have a set Miguel and if not I will send them to you.
