I may have to pull the bumper off to get my rear reflector off and when I do that I intended on taking a look at the turbo to see where it is at 2 years roughly in on the conversion.

I'm not saying you are experiencing failure, I'm only suggesting you do a very basic look-see to rule it out. The 3LD(Z) is an old, very robust design. It can absorb a lot of punishment before giving up.
