I checked the control pressures and they were way high. I realized that my front pump was still Carrera vintage. Therefore it was pushing too much pressure. Popped the front pump relay and the pressures dropped to within spec with just the rear pump. Got the motor to start and high idle for about 30 seconds. It died as soon as I tried to blip the throttle.
Not sure why it died (and would not fire up again... probably something in the dizzy timing) but my next step will be to source a correct front fuel pump.
