I like having the fifth gear, I did a G50/50 conversion from Patrick Motorsport, not for the faint of heart. The project was very costly both from the parts and labor perspective, does it shift better? but to the tune of 18-19K maybe more, the trans from PMS including the Guard diff, pedal box, clutch, KEP flywheel, Motorsport clutch from Sachs etc. was roughly 14K plus about 5K in labor. The Ruf is the less expensive option and like the G50/50 there are only one or two that are for sale from year to year.
