John is right, JRust. Disconnect the clutch and accel. cables at the front of the center tunnel. They are real awkward to get at, I've pulled the driver seat out to give me more room to work. Once the cables are disconnected, the pedals will move around pretty easy. Are you using a deep socket and extention? Also spray them down with plenty of Liquid Wrench or... You should have plenty of room to get a deep socket on the two nuts that hold the cluster to the floor off.
