Back to the 68

I think I took a break all through the winter of 2009-2010 to do the 356B but i got back at the 68 in the fall of 2010. More progress shots.

A decision made. I had picked up a set of 911r hella tail lights but I decided to stay with the stock lamps. I used the 911r lamps with a used fiberglass bumper purchased from Jeff Alton on my 82 track car instead. I always loved the 72 oil tank placement and wanted that on my car but I decided to go with the stock cover instead of the exposed 911r look. I thought it was cleaner and would match the look I was after with the stock signal and tail lamps.

We cut holes and welded in nuts, then ground of flush to accept a bolted in roll bar.

I also spent forever heating and scraping all the original sound deadening material out of the car. That job really sucked. It was almost heartbreaking when it came time to spray it all back in again but that part comes later.
