265/45/16 is just an 'ok' substitute... because it is a taller tire, with a larger sidewall, diameter, radius and circumfrence yielding a 7.2% variance to the original 245/45/16

Another option worthy of consideration is the Toyo RA-1.

Below from Toyo:
"The performance-proven RA1 features all the high-tech components to provide an uncommon advantage to the cost-conscious competitor who still demands quick lap time. It's true performance from Toyo! The RA1 has a soft but durable tread compound and stepped tread design.

Advanced race-proven casing design.
Two steel belts.
Heavy-duty bead construction.
Tread depth can be shaved to maximize dry traction response.
Full tread depth of 8/32nds provides aggressive wet traction.

Also available in RA1 is 205/55/16 -or- 225/50/16
