Do you have a different engine number? the number is stamped on the RH fan support housing - by the oil sender. If you had a chance to measure EGTs under these conditions that would provide a definitive answer.
Alan, for the sake of friendly discussion (and maybe I will learn something), isn't the 2 degree @ idle number unimportant as long as the 26 degree at 4K rpm is achieved?
