Benny, let's think about that. If the diaphram is torn, then the WG won't function, i.e., it won't open in response to the boost pressure signal because the pressure will just leak through the torn diaphram and the WG valve won't open. Wouldn't overboost be the result, as opposed to no boost at all? Our friend Rob is dealing with a (at the moment) phantom no-boost scenario.
