Different tire sizes in the rear emergency?
Hello fellas,
Quick "emergency" question: not sure if the car has a limited slip on it or not (1991 964 Turbo), but assuming it did, would putting two different tire sizes in the rear burn it up in no time? I am talking about same rim size, but due to no tire available and immediate need to drive 300 miles, I was wondering if it would be OK to temporarily put a different tire size on either side of the car, say wearing 255/40 on driver's side and 295/30 on passenger' side. This will be 10 miles of street to get to the highway and the rest highway. Crazy, I know, but time is of the essence and no availability.
Thanks.
