Brian, could you register it as a salvage title?
Somewhere in Texas, there has to be paperwork on file on microfilm. They must maitain that record. You may have to hire an atty sorry to say to access the archives.
In retrospect, always be sure the fed papers are in order for any grey mkt car as part of the ppi I suppose.
