Shlobeck: finding (038) at a Chevy dealer was pretty funny even in those days! I don't remember how it got there, but probably a trade-in. They really didn't know what they had, the price was well below market at the time.

Paul: those headers are the factory headers on the Euro Daytonas! Those help the Euro cars make 15 more hp than the US cars. The air cleaner does muffle the sound of the engine a bit, but there is enough sound to make any car junky happy!

The air cleaner also reduces hp by almost 20 horses. The black car in the pic is probably a Ferrari 308 with faux 288 GTO bodywork. Site of pic is Carobu Engineering in Costa Mesa, CA. That's where my engine was rebuilt after an exhaust valve head broke off.....
