Alan:

Great to hear from you my friend and I hope life is well in beautiful New Zealand.

Great minds must frequent the same gutters !!!!! I was just about to pull
the turbo off to change mounting bolts and thought I might address a better
heat shield. Your post was perfectly timed and I thank you.

The best to you and the wife !!!!

Doherty:

I hated the shark fins and the two piece deal, I did like the slight twist you
see in the newer aero rockers, and didn't like the end cap looking thingies
you see on some.
We took an old original rocker and clamped both ends and did some
twisting on it until we got a bit of a rollover in the center and laid up some
glass over it. We cut it to about the right length and then modified the
shape of the twist with filler to get a longer smooth roll to it. We dinked
around with different end cap designs and ended up settling with something
that was pretty suttle and wrapped around the ends.
They actually look much better than the pictures and I think they will be
nice once we get paint on them. We really have no molds, anything close
to molds ended up being our finished product. I also put the experience on
my never to do again list.
I'll post some good pics. once they are on. I would suggest looking at
Getty, MA Shaw and some of the newer rockers and then cut them up to
make what you want.

A little up date on the sled:

CIS back in and installed vacuum and boost manifolds and lines done.
Really getting crowded in there:

Set the IC on so I can plumb the boost feed line to the boost manifold
and install the WMI nossle:
