Setting your mixture and changing air filters just got a lot easier!
I like it just for the old school look. In practical terms I doubt you'll notice any difference in the time it takes for the column of air to move in the air intake and pull open the barn door. If that were the only goal you could remove the J-pipe on the stock system and mount the turbo directly at the merge then plumb the air through the driver's side engine tin.
