Still no joy

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Well I took the morning off to get back to work on the ghost. The more I dig the more I find, as expected. This poor poor car was really neglected.

Today's task was to R&R the distributor, green wire, and plug wires; in that order one at a time so we can isolate the problem.

Pulled the old distributor. This guy has not been moved since 1985, no doubt in my mind about that. Full of corrosion and a lot of end play.

Pulled the green wire. More rust.

Installed rebuilt distributor with new rotor and cap.

Fired the car up and ...

No change. Un freakin' believable. As bad as the old dizzy, cap, and rotor were we have no change? Wow. Engine still runs very rough.

Now on to the green wire. Major issue. The wire sent to me is about 5" long and cannot possibly be made for a 930. Man that sux. Now to wait for a replacement wire.
