The past 2-3 weeks I have experienced an intermittent stall and no-start condition with my 3.2 swapped '72 911. This began when I also started to hear clicking similar to a relay somewhere in the cabin during warm up, then disappered once the car is warm or has been driven for a few miles. So I started with the basics, I replaced the DME relay with a genuine Porsche unit and the car cranked up and ran great this past weekend, with very minimal 'clicking' inside the cabin.
So last night the car starts up, (idle hunts, which is another issue im sorting) then stalls and starts back up immediately.
Today on my lunch break, same thing, and I hear the clicking again. I decided to wiggle the DME relay plug and DME computer plug, and there it is. The DME computer harness plug has been causing the clicking, if I wiggle it one way, it stops, but if I let go, the sound comes back then disappears after driving.
Is it time to get the DME resoldered? Once I get home I am going to take a look at it, but until then, I wanted to see what others had experienced in this area.
Thanks,
Nathan
