I ran a 996 3.4 for 2-3 years, lovely motor, very revvy for a production lump (moreso I believe, than the later 3.6 eGas variant)....but >700hp out of an M96? Jeesus!!...having said that, there are a number of oufits out there offering fixes for all of the above "woes"...personally, think I'd still want to be using a "Mezger" derived engine as a basis though...
