You can rotate that Sanden AC compressor clockwise 90 degrees and the mounting ears line up the same to pump mount. Then the AC hoses and charge fittings are on the right side and more out of the way.

The AC hoses can then be rerouted behind all the breather hoses going to the oil tank above the right side longitudinal to move them farther out of the way when changing spark plugs or adjusting valves if they are long enough.
Timely advice for me as I'll be installing my new compressor soon and wouldn't have thought of doing that..
