Forgot to add that many ECU's have multiple maps that can be switched with a steering wheel switch etc. Then anything can change (boost/fuel/ignition timing, even cam timing on vvt/vanos cars etc).
I was tuning a turbocharged BMW in Africa (Togo), made several maps based on the available fuel, including a mix with toluene/xylene and the owner just switches the maps.

BTW on well tuned EMS you can just lower the boost and there will be no issues with fuel and/or ignition because fuel and ignition tables are already tuned for those cells.

This tech is so everyday to tuners world but seems such a hi-tech to 911 crowd, lol
