Well Nick, if life could only be that easy. Is this the way it was designed, or did you do something to have this miracle happen? I tell ya, I am ready to start taking the 3 screws out of each side of the rear roof bars to get this sucker off. Or, better yet, howsabout a sawsall, then mount a manual release/lock off a ford escort or something?
What he means is that the "Acc" position in the 924S is with the key just inserted. Turning the key at all in a 924S or early 944 will put it in the "Run" position. On the late 944 (with the newer interior) Porsche used a traditional three-position ignition switch instead of the two-position switch used in the 924/924S/Early 944.
