I wouldn't paint the oil cooler. I have a B&B oil cooler in the same place with a DP 935 front air damn.
I painted with satin black engine enamel years ago and after about a year it started peeling and flaking off the end tanks. Looks like crap now and someday I'll remove it, soak it in laquer thinner, and get all the remaining black paint off it.
Also, the paint acts as an insulator to a small degree reducing the amout of heat exchanging the cooler does.
If you black andized it that would be cool.

I have 1/4" mesh curved hardware cloth on mine for screen like alot of the old race cars used. Another good looking way to do it is take a plastic engine lid grill from an SC or Carrera and cut it down to fit the opening on your air damn. Then make some brackets to mount it there or attach it to the screen you have for the opening.
