i plugged the holes in the sheet metal on the sides of the motor and the one by the distributor. i used 2 fender washers with a bolt thru them. a 1.5inch washer barely covered that one buy the dist. had to get my wife to help. took at least half an hour to do that one. no room to work.
as you can see, the turbo is not centered in the hole. i dont know if that orange rubber seal is what goes there or not. i can smell it sometimes.
i have not done anything about the gap above the muffler. that will take some time to put in that seal. i was thinking of putting a piece of metal back there to at least reduce the heat for the time being, but what about the turbo hole?

can hot air in the engine bacy effect how it runs?

my wife was strattleing me while i was under the car. i threatened to take a pic of the nice view.
