Only additional comment I would make after reading the informed posts above, is as follows:

You mention that you would like to be able to sell the car quickly if need be. My experience with old sports cars in general is that they frequently take quite a while to sell, no matter how "hot" the market may appear. A car with a salvage title will likely be even more difficult to move. If you suspect that you may need the cash at some future point, I would recommend holding off on a purchase, since there is no guarantee that you can sell the car within a reasonable time frame for a reasonable amount of money.

If the money isn't an issue, buying a 930 is fantastic. I love my car and hope never to part with it. Get as much information about the car as you can, decide what the car is worth to you, and if the seller agrees, enjoy!
