sushiman, the red pulley is a throttle cam, and swapping out the original oblong one for the round one like the one in that picture simply makes the throttle pedal more sensitive. I put one on my 924S and it took a bit to get used to the engine revving faster but after I got used to it, the difference isn't very noticeable. Basically, you don't have to move your foot as far to rev the engine as much.
