Still trying to research, absorb and collect as much data as possible. The problem is, we are also starting building our house which will have a lift and a separate garage space for future work like this.

However, having wasted 14 months trying to get this oil leak fixed, I don't have patience to wait another 18 months to get the house build and then start the project.

I am looking into buying a scissor lift for $1300 just for the fact it would be lot easier to move around and get the engine out but then again, what am I going to do with it once the house is built and I have a bigger lift in it?

Initially I just want to drop the motor and look around and see how the previous work was done and try attempting fixing the rear main seal leak? However if that doesn't fix the problem then definitely I need to look into opening up the motor so I want to be ready for that too?

Please keep the word of encouragements coming along with what ever piece information you all want to share.
