Not what you want to see ...

Fired up the fun car to meet the geezers club for breakfast Saturday morning. Haven't driven the car in a few weeks due to this anoying cyclical atmospheric phenomenon call winter. Car ran beautifully. On the way home I boosted 'er a few times and it didn't feel as strong as it should have. I thought maybe I've gotten used to the new power but it bugged me.
When I got home I started looking around just to check things.
Oh $hit moment; here is what I found:

Oil with water in it. I've seen this before. You only need to look up to find the culprit:

THIS is why you need a vent line on your turbo oil tank. The problem would have to escalate to blowing chunks out the exhaust and into your engine oil before you would know anything is wrong.

Sure wish the 70,000 mile 3LDZ would have hung on a little longer, I still have some baseline testing to do before going big on the turbo. Oh well, I should have a few functional 3LDZs laying around the shop that can plug in. Just glad I found it quick.
