I ask the question, because the headlights/fenders raised above the hood in a standard 930/911 provide a reference point to the road, like a gun-sight providing feedback.

With none there in a slant, do you even 'sense' the hood of the car in the corners to get a feel of where the car is going? Just curious.

I had a 300CE Coupe, and it always spooked me out a bit that when driving, looking out the window, I never really saw the hood of the car(and I am 6' 1")
Never noticed the sensation you are experiencing when driving a SN. Only feedback I get is from passengers uneasy feeling in the SN similar to being in the front seat of a roller coaster.
