The trick is getting the seams right on the dash pad. Even Bob mentioned the design of the dash in the 911 makes it very difficult to keep the seams creased well over time. Honestly for $550 that he charges to recover it, I would utilize the skills of a man who does this for a living.

Besides, you'll get plenty of DIY time taking the dash pad out. It's not like it's a piece of cake to do...
