There's also an inexpensive 0-ring that fits in between the two halves of the scavenge pump housing.
With the way oil can be blown around back there your leak could also be from a rocker shaft or where the cam tower is sealed to the top of the #3 head.

If you spray the area with engine cleaner like the original liqued gunk (the foaming engine cleaner stuff is practically worthless) and hose all the greasy dirt off good and clean with a hose or pressure cleaner then it will be much easier to see where it's coming from after driving an hour or so.
