Thanks for the suggestion. When I went down to collect my most recent set of Michelin TB15’s at close to £800 for the pair, I did mention those tyres as they come with over double the tread depth compared with the TB15’s and Vintage Tyres do sell them. “Not at all sure they would be suitable. Unless someone else has tried them on a quick 911 for rallying, we would be very wary” was the reply. On further discussion, it was felt that although they might be OK in the wet, they were not sure the tread would be stable enough in the dry. I would be very interested to know if anyone is actually using these tyres and particularly if they have done any track work with them, as that gives a very clear idea of their stability.
