again, you are putting too much focus on weight in regards to top speed, when those 'minor' aerodnamic improvements count for much more. (and gearing!)

for instance, in my original mini cooper, merely deseaming the body is quoted as being equivalent to removing four square feet of frontal area in terms of drag. so you can see why ruf chose to do a narrowbody car instead of the wide hipped turbo body car with the yellowbird, then add the de-guttering and redesigned front end..

the 200kg odd difference between the 930 and yellowbird will affect handling and acceleration, but means naff all at top speed.

as a grossly oversimplified example, the 1000hp veyron weighs near on 2000kg and can crack 400km/h, yet eddie bellos 964 with 1200hp and nearly half the weight cannot.
