JB, divided means divided scroll. The 2 banks of the engine are separated all the way until the exhaust hits the turbine wheel.

By reading that website, it seems it's an "open" housing; meaning exhaust "collision" occurs reducing potential exhaust energy slowing boost onset.

With that said, a friends 965 using a GT35R with a divided 1.06AR T4 (huge!) housing with a NON-divided header spooled unbelievably quick.

I suspect your K27 has very tiny AR turbine housing since GT35R's are really untouchable in boost onset.
