Thanks Joe. If I've got my head wrapped around this correctly... if you pre-loaded the control arms without the adjusting cap on the torsion rod, then put the cap on, your going to effectively lower the car. The limiting factors would be shock compression, tie rod length, camber and wheel clearance.

I'll consult the service manuals
