The return of the 911 Turbo to the US in 1986 brought a much more sophisticated and slightly faster and quicker car.

Lower profile headlight washers
Brighter H5 headlights
Wider front wheels and tires
Revised shocks, and front roll bar.
Tinted front window standard
Footwell blowers for instant defrost
Revised auto heat controller for footwell blowers.
Improved interior cabin temperature sensor.
Rear seat lock buttons instead of straps.
Third brake light
Turbo brakes and cross-drilled disks.
Revised rear control arm mounts
Revised rear shocks and anti-roll bars
Wider rear wheels and tires.
Lower restriction muffler
Three way catalytic converter
Euro style exhaust with seperated wastegate exhaust
Single belt air pump
Solenoid control of air injection, idle speed, and boost retard.
KE jetronic with O2 feedback at idle and light throttle.
Fender flares stamped in instead of welded on.
Improved heat shielding in the rear engine compartment
Alternator with built in regulator
Piston type ac compressor
Crank pulley with revised timing marks
Pressure fed chain tensioners
Revised case with sump cover delete
Revised oil pump with different strainer
Revised injectors
Vacuum hose routing details
Oil hose routing details
Turbo sump mounting details.
