Will not Crank

I've got a 1979 930, the car has been parked for 5 years. I normally start the car every few weeks and occasionally run it around the block in an effort to keep it alive. A few weeks ago the car would not crank, solenoid clicks but it will not turn over. I figured the stater packed it in and ordered a high torque starter from our hosts.

I installed the new starter to the same result. I can hear the solenoid click but will not turn over. I can bar the engine over by hand and I've removed the battery and transmission ground, both were pretty clean but I've polished them up and reinstalled with no improvement.

At this point I suspect the positive lead but my multimeter is at work so I can't check resistance till tomorrow.

Any suggestions on anything else to check? This is all with a brand new battery.

Thanks in advance.
