Usually there is nothing catastrophic that happens when a head stud breaks. Other than the need to replace them anyway.
thats what i would do. after all, not sure how the header would stress the head studs or cause a problem. if you are concerned, i would limit the boost to .8-.9. on that topic, putting on a header will up your boost with the stock spring to at least .9. make sure the timing is set correctly.
