Aluminum S PP on lightened 914 flywheel

I had my stock 914, (72) flywheel lightened to about 12 pounds and found an S pressureplate. I used this with a 3 puck sintered disc that was sprung but it was a bit grabby, so I went with a standard disc, (with the waverly springs between the friction surfaces. and it worked well, except for seizing some winters.

Also had 103 forged pistons, carillo 2.0 rods and a Berg stroked counterweighted crank, fed with 44 ida webbers and a Mazda front cooler, flares, s ft brakes, 914-6 rears and drilled, vented rotors.

Lightness sure makes for a lively engine :-)

holly cow, that was 30 years ago!!!
