I setup the WUR not noticing this, once I had it setup I tried to start the car and it won't turn over. Went to the back of the car and a fuel puddle is coming from the exhaust. Hydro lock!
I pulled the plugs to let it dry out and back out the idle enrichment screw thinking it is holding the fuel open. But no luck? Can't hold the fuel pressure after the pumps tuen off.
Is it a bad fuel head?? Please help
Had the same issue long time ago. I was making the car ready for new paint, and had almost no fuel in the tank, so I stole some gas from my dad but there was no fuel in the can but water! Had to swap the fuel head and clean the gas tank. I was lucky having another one from a lokal dealer that had a 930 engine with a broken crankshaft. bought it for $400 and all was fine again.
I thought about selling my 930 to because I had a hard time getting all those stuf fixed.
To be honest, it took me almost six year to get the car running like it supposed to do.
Now she runs strong with everything working and still happy to have her.
We all are so lucky that we have this forum where a lot of good people are willing to help the newbies, like I was I'm not a specialist but after years of reading on the forum I can do most of it myself. Those cars are old and fun! but they do need a lot of love and patience and $/€!
