Actually the car is really dirty right now. I usually keep an outdoor car cover thats pretty well shredded from the neighbors cats clawing on it on it but the car is too dirty to put it on right now.
The motor stays fairly clean because I spray it off with gunk and water if it gets dirty and that can be a mistake if water gets into the electronics.

That and I tinker with it so much I like to keep it clean. I replaced the top end a few months ago so everything that attaches to the motor from the cylinders on up has been replaced or cleaned recently.

My old BMW's had beautiful motors I rebuilt and kept clean and detailed while the bodies were crapped out with rust and Florida sun oxidized paint. I hate waxing cars so I never do that.
