What are the 4 holes in the flawed hood for?
Looks like the paint was sprayed on real heavy so the solvents wouldn't flash off before the next sweep of the spray gun and it would flow out good.
From the streak going off the bottom right hole it doesn't look like the hood was laying flat in that area and the paint was thinned out alot and it accumulated around the edge of the hole from surface tension and some of it flowed downhill away from the hole before the solvents flashed off or evaporated enough to hold it all in place.
The correct evaporation rate reducer/thinner for the temperature and humidity has to be just right.
I can see how that kind of paint could be very difficult to get a consistant smooth matte finish.
